Beware of the "Full Tank" option in the gas pumps

In Iceland you fill your own fuel tank as most places in Europe.
When you decide to make the payment with Credit/Debit card you will have multiple options in the screen.
You can prepay a determined ammount of ISK (3000, 5000, 10000, etc) and you also have a "Full Tank" option.
Beware of this last option if you're a foreigner.
What happens when you use this last option is that the company holds you an ammount of ISK 25.000 in your card, no matter how much you end up filling.
Thats because the company needs to make sure that you have enough money to pay, and they have no way to know if you're going to fill 5lt or 50lt.
Once the operation is finished, you're supposed to get back the difference in your bank account in less than 24/48 hours.
But that not always happens if you have a foreigner bank account!!
In my case it's already been 1 month I don't have the money bank (I made three full tank fills, which goes up to USD 151 x 3).
So, just in case, I strongly reccomend you not to use the full tank option and use the prepaid options.
